It’s the same story, different date, and although Tracii McGregor (CEO of Buju Banton’s Gargamel Music record label) recently issued a release stating that his ‘Rasta Got Soul’ U.S. tour was a success - despite attempts by gay rights groups to railroad it - yet another of his tour dates has been canceled, this time in Eureka, California.
The show was scheduled to happen tomorrow, October 11, at the Nocturnum, but as has become the norm now it seems, the promoters have pulled the plug on it due to an outcry from the local gay community, who have pointed to the controversial lyrics in his 17 year old song “Boom Bye Bye”.
The struggle continues for ‘The Banton’. His next scheduled date off the ‘Rasta Got Soul’ tour is October 13 in Santa Clara, California.
